Invitation to 2017 ISV Annual Congress - a Letter from co-Chairs'

We are excited to announce the 2017 International Society for Vaccines (ISV) Annual Congress at the Institute Pasteur in Paris on October 5th – 7th 2017.

The ISV Annual Congress is the world’s largest scientific conference in the field of vaccines and covers a broad range of topics related to vaccines and immunotherapies. It will bring together individuals from all sectors of the global vaccine community to hear about the latest advances in the field, discuss challenges and opportunities, and network.

The 2017 ISV congress is co-organized by the Institut Pasteur, one of the world's leading research centers. Founded in 1887 and named after Louis Pasteur who is renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, the Institute is dedicated to research in prevention and treatment of infectious and non-infectious diseases. Also, as was the case 2016 in Boston, the meeting will be held in collaboration with the International Society for DNA Vaccines and the Vaccines Renaissance meeting.

The format of the 2017 Congress will be similar to that of previous years (www.isvcongress.org/2016) with the content determined by a Scientific Committee composed of high profile individuals representing a broad portfolio of expertise from both academia and industry. The Congress will feature international leading experts as keynote and symposium speakers as well as a high percentage of oral presentations selected from abstracts submitted by the global vaccine community.

Paris is one of the world's top tourist destinations, known for its cafes and cuisine, fashion, art, and culture. This picturesque city with its 19th-century cityscape and wide boulevards around the Seine River is home to many architectural icons including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, as well as many other well-known tourist sites.

The Charles de Gaulle Airport is Europe's second-busiest airport, facilitating easy access to the Congress venue from anywhere in the world. The Paris Metro system was ranked as the best public transport system in the world in 2016, providing efficient and rapid transportation from the many accommodation options in the city. Due to special lower rates that the Institute Pasteur has negotiated with many hotels, as well as the huge number of AirBnB rentals in Paris, lodging for the hotel will be very affordable.

Various awards will be given to support travel to the Congress, and for scientific presentations. This information will be posted at a later date on the website.

So plan on attending the ISV Congress; submit your abstracts and register at: www.ISVCongress.org

We look forward to seeing you there!
